*Chair & Co-chair responsibilities include the coordinating of stock, being the contact person for purchases and getting approval for new items to sell from the farm staff at Mitey Riders Council Meetings. Committee members work with the chair & co-chair to sell merchandise at parent functions such as State of the Stall (October 27, 2008) and the Spring Festival (May 5, 2009).

*using an existing format (via Microsoft Publisher) produce a monthly informational update for the Mitey Riders families and volunteers. Includes compiling information, writing, producing, photocopying and delivering it to the farm by an established date each month.

*Chair & Co-chair responsibilities include the coordinating of volunteers to take photographs of our riders for our Spring Festival Book and other publications. It is the responsibility of the chair & co-chair to gather the photo's, make sure all riders are included and deliver the pictures (on CD) to the Spring Festival Book chairman by March 15, 2009. Committee members are asked to take pictures, with their own camera, during the months of October, November and December. Try to take pictures on nice weather days, outside pictures are always better. We need two pictures of each rider (candid) and five pictures of action shots during each class. Photographers should label each picture and send them to chairman of the Photography Committee.

*this job involves the planning, organizing, and execution of the Spring Festival including activities, food, bake sale, etc. The committee chairs will work as liaison with Janet to organize parent participants for both preparation and booth coverage during the Festival. This committee will gather parent volunteers to assume the role of "captain" to several key areas on festival day.

*this job involves the preparation and execution of a special fun class activity. Chair and Co-chair will work with Joy to assure that the activity is one that is safe around the horses. Themed ride is the week of Oct. 22nd to 26th.

*this is a vital role to the Mitey Riders program. Volunteers are the "lifeblood" of the program, without them our program would be unable to function. This position is responsible for generating interest and following up with appropriate schools or community organizations in order to provide potential volunteers for the program. As well as acting as a first contact point with key people in those schools and organizations, you would also organize staffing of a Mitey Riders information booth at several local Volunteer Fairs. All information and contact leads gathered from such events would be coordinated with the Mitey Riders program administrators.
